Twenty-five squares of attention.
Pomo is a Pomodoro timer for iPhone and Android that draws each minute as a square and burns through them while you work.
How to read the Grid
A 25-minute focus is a five-by-five block. Minutes you've spent go hollow. The minute you're in burns orange and drains upward as its sixty seconds pass. Everything after it waits in solid ink.
Change the length and the block changes shape around it: 50 minutes sets as ten columns by five rows, 52 as nine by six with seven left on the last row, centred so it reads as where the count stopped. Breaks run in muted ink, because orange in Pomo means one thing: time you're spending right now.
Where the session goes when you put the phone down
The web timer on this site is the same face, but a browser tab can only do so much. The app keeps the session going in the places you actually look.
- Lock screen and Dynamic Island
On iPhone the countdown sits on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, and a paused session stays there, frozen at the time left. On Android 16 the remaining time shows in the status bar chip.
What each one shows- Apple Watch and Wear OS
Begin, pause or end from your wrist with the phone in a bag. On Wear OS a command still lands when the phone app is closed, and the end of a session buzzes your wrist.
Apple Watch guide Wear OS guide- Apps blocked only while you focus
Pick the apps that pull you away. They're shielded while a focus runs and back the moment a break starts. Strict mode turns ending early into a deliberate press-and-hold.
How the blocking works- The ledger
Every session you finish or let go lands in a ledger on your phone. Label sessions by course or project and see where the hours went, today, this week and across the year.
Four faces. Grid is free.
Every face here is frozen at the same moment: sixteen minutes and twelve seconds left of a 25-minute focus.

Stays on your phone
Your sessions, labels and ledger are stored in a database on the phone. Pomo has no server that holds them, and timing, labelling and reviewing sessions never asks you to sign in. They're included in your phone's own iCloud or Google backup if you have that switched on.
Leaves your phone
Anonymous crash reports and usage counts (Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics), such as "a focus finished" with a rough length. Never your labels. No advertising ID is read on either platform.
Pomo is free on iPhone and Android
The Grid face, the full Pomodoro cycle, your whole session history, the lock screen countdown and both watch apps are free. Pro adds the other three faces, the focus shield (app blocking and strict mode, plus Do Not Disturb on Android), calendar sync and the deeper stats.
